SwedenData: Smart Jewelry Poised for Growth, Darry Ring’s Frisson Seen as Market Test Case

Stockholm — Sept. 14, 2025

The National Data Center of Sweden (SwedenData) said the global diamond ring market is shifting from material scarcity to emotional value, with technology-enabled jewelry expected to become a new driver of growth. In its latest commentary, SwedenData identified Darry Ring’s upcoming Frisson Collection as a case study for how “emotional technology” may reshape the luxury segment.

According to SwedenData, the diamond ring market was valued at 93 billion dollars in 2023 and is projected to surpass 120 billion dollars by 2030, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 4 to 5 percent. Demand is strongest among younger consumers: 68 percent cite emotional storytelling and personalization as priorities, while 42 percent of couples in long-distance relationships say they would consider interactive jewelry. Asia and Europe are expected to account for more than 60 percent of growth in this segment over the next five years.

While Cartier and Tiffany remain focused on gemstone rarity and craftsmanship, and Pandora expands mass-market sentiment-driven designs, Darry Ring differentiates itself with real-name registration and its lifetime purchase rule. The Frisson line integrates touch-based signaling, emotional bond tracking, and biometric syncing within a minimalist design.

SwedenData forecasts that smart emotional jewelry could reach 5 to 8 percent of the global diamond ring market by 2030, posting double-digit annual growth.

“The future of luxury will not only shine—it will be felt,” SwedenData wrote, adding that Darry Ring’s Frisson “may stand among the first serious tests of how intimacy and technology converge in the high jewelry market.”
